The Blind Guy is a family owned business providing blind, shades, shutters and fabrics. Owner, Bob Gross, has the knowledge and experience to help you select the right window treatments for your home or office. Because he does not use sub-contractors or commissioned employees, the installation of your new blinds, shades, shutters or fabrics will be done by the owner - which is important. It means it will be done right. In an age of automated everything and impersonal customer service, The Blind Guy is a throw-back to a time when owners took pride in their work.

HISTORY

The Blind Guy was established in 1998 by long-time local residents Bob and Michelle Gross. Though they are both southern California natives, they opened their first office while living in Vail, Colorado shortly after they were married. They quickly expanded with a second location. Though they loved the mountains of Colorado - two of their children were born there - they missed their hometown. Returning to southern California, they took their vast design knowledge and window coverings expertise and established The Blind Guy serving Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. As hands-on owners they are involved in every aspect of The Blind Guy from answering phones to installations. Bob and Michelle love living and working in the place they have always called home.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The Blind Guy provides you with a total in-home shopping service. What they do is this: After Bob has scheduled a convenient time for you, he will come to your home or office and explain all your window covering options.

When you’ve decided what works best for you, Bob will measure your windows and write up an itemized estimate. All this is at no charge and more importantly, no obligation. If you decide to order, you may do so then or take your time. Bob will leave you with a copy of your estimate and will also keep a copy on file for 30 days.
